Urban Organic Colony
In today's Los Angeles culture, cars become the main transportation of the city. The pollution of the city becomes worse and worse. However, in the meanwhile, there is a growing culture of community garden where people tend to grow their own food on the abandoned area of the concreted city. Based on these two opposite culture, the new biofuel station becomes a prototype of replacing the existing gas stations, it not only transforms algae and soybean to organic oil which can be used for car supply, but provide a social and educational space for people to learn about the process and use that as a strategy to distributes seeds to the city vacant roofs to form a new urban green territory as well.
